A Djinn can be hypnotized

Through battle and warfare with humans, a powerful Djinn can end up in a state where it is susceptible to hypnosis. Humans are capable of doing this. They can induce a hypnotic state in the Djinn, drawing it into a human body and causing it to believe it is human.

Yet the Djinn is not human; it remains a Djinn. And at the end of that human life, when the human body dies, the Djinn realizes that it is still alive. It discovers with astonishment that, upon the death of the human body, it is hovering above the corpse and is, in fact, a Djinn.
